migrate vcenter 6.7 appliance to new vcenter 6.7 appliance

We had an issue with our current vcenter 6.7 and active directory which we cannot get resolved.  We would like to spin up a new vcenter appliance, but need to find a way to migrate the configuration without the issue.  I have created the new vcenter and verified that I can contact the active directory, and would like to move all the settings and host over to the new vcenter.  Is there a way to do this, the migration tool does not like going from 6.7 to 6.7

No, not possible. You can swing your hosts over but you'll have to manually recreate any vCenter objects and configurations.

So I have no options?  We have not been able to fix the error in the existing vcenter, and we cannot upgrade because we are on already on 6.7  I have no previous vcenter to upgrade from.

Then you should open a case with GSS and get their assistance.

Because you are in the same version in both vCenter, I think you can try to provide a backup from the source with backup options of VAMI (vcenter:5480) and then restore it to the destination vCenter ... It's a safe method if you still do not use your new vCenter as an operational component in your environment
