Display battery life of host laptop while in guest VDI -- possible?

We are rolling out Horizon VDI to our field users, including some laptops that we are re-imaging with IGEL to be "thin" clients.  First thing these laptop users asked was "How do I tell how much battery life I have left?"   (Which... duh, I can't believe we never considered that.)  But I can't find anything in the documentation or online that tells me how to pass that host information through to the guest VDI. 

Anybody ever run into this or have any ideas?

I am needing something similar with laptops that have been loaded with IGEL UDC. They run in appliance mode so you don't see the taskbar.  I am really needing the battery information to cross to the VDI session.
