The error you recived occurs if the Skyline collector is not able to connect with SSO, it could be due to custom SSO configuration. It could be either an external PSC or an custom domain(other than vsphere.local).
Enable Custom SSO configuration on the wizard, the following documentation should help you with filling in the details:

After your help from , I was able to login and start the collector.
Everything looks running now
However, in Skyline Advisor page the collector appears as inactive and In don;t get any information, even regarding inventory
Should I perform any additional actions?

No additional steps are required. Usually, it takes up to 48 hours before we can see the proactive findings and recommendations.
