Hi All,
Recently there was an increase in data store free space 52% reduced to free space 22 %. Free space has recently come down and wanted to find out what had made the data store utilization went high.
There are multiple VM's in a data store, hence it's not possible to compare each VM's.
Can we find out from script which VM recently migrated to data store/VM disk expended or grown/ backup snapshot had caused the data store utilization high ?
Thanks
vmk
You could try with the script from my Get The VMotion/SvMotion History post to find out which VMs have been svMotioned to that datastore.
For VMs which had their harddisks expanded, you could look at William's How to audit VM reconfigurations and see what exactly changed? post.
For snapshots, you could just use the Get-Snapshot cmdlet I assume.

How about any new VM's creation in the data store ?
Any clue to get that info.
Thanks
vmk
There you should also look at the events, in fact the VMCreatedEvent should show those.
