Cannot break a connection while protection groups, array pairs, or folders exist

Hi gurus

  When I tried to break pair with my DR site I get the following error

"SRM server 'VCENTER server' cannot do a pair operation. The reason is: Cannot break a connection while protection groups, array pairs, or folders exist."

I have checked all my tab and they are empty, I have nothing on ,Mapping,folder,

can someone help please??

Deleting mappings is not sufficient - please make sure to delete all Recovery Plans, Protection Groups and Array Managers. Array managers must be deleted at both sites.

  Thanks for jumping in, that is the strange part, all has been deleted from both sites, all related folder/objects are empty on both sites.

Have you tried to restart both SRM servers after deleting Array managers, etc?

  Yes I did try that on both sites and it did not work. I am planning on uninstall SRM from both sites and start all over again, if a resolution is not find.

Are "Placeholder Datastores" still configured?

Hello,

Can you please say which version of SRM you use? Also try restarting both SRM services but make sure both services are down at the same time.

   SRM Version is 5.5 and I did stop both services then started the prod site and then the DR site.

I see. Thanks for the answer. Sorry to ask again but did you check the SRM *inventory Trees* view for any protection gorup or recovery plan folder?

  No, thank you for jumping in and try to help,

       yes I checked for all replication folder,protection groups, etc and nothing was shown, so I dont know if it is a DB issue,service issue, app issue.

Hello, it is 8 years from last reply in this post, but I have the same issue now with SRM 8.2.

I need to uninstall SRM correctly. I removed all mappings, recovery plans and protection groups and I can´t disable one of the array pairs with this error: "Unable to remove array pair 'xxxx' - 'zzzz. Array pair is in use by one or more protection groups". But problem is, that there are NO Protection groups in Inventory...

Could anyone help me?
