Cannot collect agent logs

Hi all,

I am running on VMware Horizon version 7.3.1

When I want to collect the Agent logs on the Desktop directly with the Support.bat file, the collecting is stucking at

Gathering SVI information...

When trying to collect the logs with the vdmadmin tool on the Connection Server, I get this error:

Please wait, this may take several minutes...

Failed to obtain agent DCT (Cannot obtain channel for remote access)

What can be the Problem here? I need the logs because I have a Screen Problem when using a Zero Client Wyse P25 with two Monitors.

are you running the script and tool elevated? That's required for me to run them.

VMware Support told me that this is a bug in Version 7.3.1

Support will tell me if there is a Workaround or if the issue will be fixed in the next release.

I have a same issue on Horizon 7.1.0 and Windows 7 as virtual desktops.

Did you get a workaround from VMware Support?

Make sure you are allowing TCP port 32111 from the connection servers to the horizon agent. This is required for collecting the logs remotely from the connection server.

I am having the same issues.  Agents are 7.6. Everything is internal so no ports are being blocked.   I've opened up a ticket with vmware on this.

Hello Eddilimp,

I know that this is a two year old post. This is really meant for anyone else that may run into this. VMware is aware that this is an issue. KB Article 57596 was designed to assist with the issue. You can fine a link to that below:

https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/57596

Sorry this reached you very late but as mentioned, I'm largely putting this here to benefit anyone else that may run into this.
