ESXi Host Cetrificate about to expire on Wed 10/06/2019

Hi,

We are having several host that have the alarm 'ESXi Host Certificate Status'.

For these hosts the cretificate is valid to Wed Nov 6 10:45:19 GMT+0100 2019

We are using VMCA mode.

How to resolve this issue?

It should be possible to renew those certificates from the vSphere Client: Renew or Refresh ESXi Certificates

Hi,

Yes the option is there and can be executed.

However we have tried that and cleared the alarm.

After few days it came back, so Refresh or Renew either does not seem to work while it's say that it's completed, either there is an issue in the communication to retrieve the certificate.

Guess that when we Refresh/Renew the certificate we don't have to

- disconnect/reconnect the host

- restart the Vcenter
