Esxi 6.5 first time used, failed to power on VMs issue

Hello everyone,

as a beginner on this product, I hope that someone could help me or give me an idea about how to fix this..

I just started trying this product about a week ago and able to successfully install it on my computer as a test version.

Briefly spec; AMD Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB RAM, 250GB SSD and GTX 1650Ti.

Esxi 6.5

*I didn't plan to use this when I chose this spec, so it kinda not fully compatible, and I hope that the problem I got does not relate to the hardware specification.

I created VM with 2CPU and 4GB of RAM with 20GB HDD space, and try to install Ubuntu;; is it something releate to what i set?

What should I do, or try next?

Thank you in advance..

Pong.

Pong,

I would double check BIOS settings and verify that AMD-V is enabled and maybe SMT too, I would also try upgrading to 6.5U1 or newer (6.7 should work too).

Hey Lars,

I haven't found the AMD-V yet but for the SMT, I turned it off on preventing PSOD during the boot time.

I will try to upgrade the version

The PSOD warning mentioned that "there is no place on disk to dump data"

I explained here how to collect netdump and diskdump to collect dump files:
