In Esxi 6.7 - (HBA) SAN FC showing as Blocked Port.

Hi All.

I need your help. Thinksys sr650 direct connections (FC) with Netapp E2724.The SAN partition is not displayed. I can see new ESXi connected to Controller A port  5 and Controller B port 4. In storage end these ports are up. When i run the command "esxcli storage san fc list " --> Error message is : "Port State: BLOCKED".

Hi tranmin,

If this new hardware means hardware should be ok.

1) What you have SAN SWITCH OR DIRECT CONNECTIVITY.

2) please do your zoning configuration on San switch level.

This an idea, hope it will help

Hey - Is this issue still persisting? Per our previous discussion, did you raise a ticket with VMware?

Hi Supreet. I found something ... very big.  :smileycool::smileycool:

1- I update the firmware (HBA). Figure 1

2- I run your command (remember it ?). Figure 1

3- And reboot the server....then the miracle comes. Figure 3.

Each time you reboot the server you will have to redo it.

If the FC port reset command is helping, you can add the command to the local.sh file so that it automatically gets executed during every reboot the host - VMware Knowledge Base

Hi Supreet.

Can you help me.  Everything has no changed, But I was unable to repeat the success that I had before.
