Skyline 2.2 - test network connectivity

I just wanted to run initial configuration of a sykline collector 2.2. First step: Network Connectivity - Test Connectivity. When pressing the button, a second later I get the error:

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

I found a link to VMware KB - article 52658. But the article cant be found any more. Checked time and timezone of VCSA and collector: both the same.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Wolfgang

Hello!

Found the cause of my problem. You get this error when your firewall intercepts SSL traffic. After excluding appliance IP from interception, connectivity test finished without errors.

Hi Wolfgang,

Welcome to communities!

Do you use any proxy server ? VMware Skyline needs internet connection and it should talk to vcsa.vmware.com and vapp-updates.vmware.com.
