Compatibility issue when vmotion A general system error occurred: Connection refused: The remote service is not running, OR is overloaded, OR a firewall is rejecting connections.

Dears :

I have Compatibility issue when vmotion vm from host 01  to host 02

A general system error occurred: Connection refused: The remote service is not running OR is overloaded, OR a firewall is rejecting connections.

Hi,

You have created 2 vmkernel but both have vmotion enabled. Can you enable and retry vMotion traffic on only one vmkernel? Please make these settings on both hosts.

If the problem does not correct, would you restart vCenter Server services?

making only one vmkernael for VMotion didn't solve.

aslo making only one vmkernel adapter for management and VMotion traffic and deleting the other one didn't solve .

Can you reboot vCenter Server? or restart your services?

You have (had) two VMKernel adapters for vMotion in the same subnet. Did you configure them for Multi-NIC vMotion?

With a single vMotion VMkernel adapter, I'd suggest that you change the IP settings for vMotion to a separate subnet, e.g. 192.168.10.x/24.

Look up the error message in the vpxd log, it should list what is being blocked. It may give you a port number, which could be a good start for troubleshooting
