FlexEngine.exe switches: -UEMrefreshshortcut & -DEMrefreshshortcut

As I'm upgrading my pools to UEM 9.9, I was thinking about all the various changes a name could make...

I noticed the switches will need to change as well, since the switch mentions UEM.    Currently BOTH switches work, and I'm wondering for how long?

In this example, you can see the Argument is "-uemrefreshadmx".    Eventually, I assume we all will need to change this to "-demrefreshadmx"

I'd hate for some Admin to forget about the switch changes...and have issue down the road.

UEM has default shortcuts created in the manager for UEM ADMX-based settings Refresh or UEM User Environment Refresh, etc but they create the folder in the start menu with the name VMware UEM.  Changing to 9.9 doesn't change these default configs so if you have enabled one or more of them, which many people have it will create VMware UEM folder in the start menu with the shortcut in that folder.  VMware DEM though is now used for anything installed directly by the application, so the Self-Support shortcut is in there so you will see both if you don't change the config.

Good catch, I didn't think of that.  Even the folder it puts it to VMware UEM is now named VMware DEM so if you don't change that you will have two folders in your start menu VMware UEM and VMware DEM (If you leave the Self-Support Tool in place)

Both "switch prefixes" work, and will continue to do so. Once we add new ones, we might exclusively support DEM, but we try not to make life unnecessarily more difficult for you... Smiley Happy

I don't quite understand... Which start menu folders are your referring to here? The ones for the Easy Start shortcuts? Those should all have been changed to VMware DEM...
