NSXv and NSXt _routing differnces

Hi All,

Can someone comment on the following .

in NSXv the east west routing is done by DLR kernel module on esxi(for optimized routing and avoid hairpinning)

but as i m checking NSXtthis is not availble .is it  because we are adding KVM along with esxi  and same kernel module can not work on KVM???

if we are not using kernel based routing then it should pass to (tier0 tier1 gateways which are virtual appliances ) in NSX T and we will be loosing the concept

of DLR as provided by NSXv.

In NSX-T routing is different. You have T1 and T0 routers, both of which have a distributed component (called DR) much like de DLR. The difference is that they can have a centralized component (called SR) that is hosted on an edge cluster. It is important to note that there is no such thing as a virtual appliance router, like the ESG in NSX-V. The NSX-T edge is a host for centralized services of the T1 and T0 gateways.

Please read the design guide on VMware® NSX-T Reference Design  beginning from page 44 and you should understand this better. If you still have any doubts you can ask here.
