We will start new VDI project in next month.
Customer currently use Citrix VDI(been 4 years), and they want to change their VDI solution.
Our main problem is migration their user data(D:\).
The worst scenarios is migrate data by each user itself.
We are looking for better scenario, but not yet..
Does anyone have similar experience?
In my experience
We have used persona management and we have migrated all user profiles to a file server using robocopy.
Also, we made a testing week before making the Citrix servers unavailable and 4 monthis before decomissioning the Citrix vdi's.
we are using backup and restore scripts to network shares.
users use both scripts on their own to migrate their data.
