How could I create a lab to make a cluster

Hi,

I'm trying to follow these guide  http://vmwareinsight.com/Tutorials/2016/7/5799894/Step-by-Step-Configuration-Guide-for-Using-Openfil...  to create shared storage with vmware to then make cluster hosts.

Problem is that I don't have vmware Vsphere. Is possible add software isci adapter in vmware Workstation instead vmware Sphere?

If no, how could I make that? Is possible install vmware Vsphere like virtual guest?

Thanks and sorry for my English!

You can register for a 60-day vSphere evaluation (https://www.vmware.com/go/evaluate-vsphere-en), and install it as a virtual lab in VMware Workstation.

However, due to the resource requirements, you should at least have 16GB RAM for the vSphere setup. If you also want to run other virtual machines, you will need even more RAM.

Thanks Andre

There is other solution? 16gb ram is too much

If you don't have 16GB of RAM, you should forget trying to make a cluster of ESXi hosts with vCenter because it's not going to happen.

vSphere is made for enterprise (server) hardware, where memory is usually not an issue.

If you don't have sufficient resources in your home lab, then the VMware Learning Platform may be an option for you.

To be able to give you an advice, it is necessary that you explain what exactly you are trying to set up/achieve.
