The H330 is an el´cheapo RAID controller without battery and write caching.
The HBA330 is a passthrough only Controller and should be your preferred choice. We use HBA330 in our AllFlash vSAN. I dont understood why they choose such a similar name.
Maybe you can take a look to the Dell Ready Nodes what they used for them.
Yeah.. they use them in the Ready Nodes.
Take a look to VMware Compatibility Guide - I/O Device Search . It have a nice QueueDepth
About the H730(and later H740). It the Dell Standard Raid Controller... IIRC also the H730 can configured in RAID or Passthrough Mode. But why pay money for Cache and Battery which cant be used for vSAN.
