While going thorough the vCenter configuration advance setting parameters, I have found below parameters related to the vCenter Database that gets triggered when an event occur. My question here is, what parameters does vCenter 6.5 support for the database health alarm to be triggered
vpxd.vdb.space.errorPercent
config.vpxd.vdb.space.checkIntervalSec
vpxd.vdb.space.warningPercent
config.vpxd.vdb.space.warningMB value
config.vpxd.vdb.space.alertMB value
Thanks
Jasmeet Singh
Default triggers are listed here,
Configuration parameter | Description | Default value |
vpxd.vdb.space.warningPercent | Sets the percentage at which a warning is triggered. Changing this setting does not require you to restart vCenter Server. | 80% |
vpxd.vdb.space.errorPercent | Sets the percentage at which an error is triggered, and an action takes place. Changing this setting does not require you to restart vCenter Server. | 95% |
config.vpxd.vdb.space.skipInitialCheck | Turns off the startup checking for free space | false |
config.vpxd.vdb.space.checkIntervalSec | Defines the interval at which vCenter Server checks a database for available space. | 15 minutes |
What about the below parameters? Does that no longer supported? I am unable to access the KB link.
config.vpxd.vdb.space.warningMB value
config.vpxd.vdb.space.alertMB value
Thanks

invalid Link, my bad - let me check my lab for those
Those 2 values config.vpxd.vdb.space.warningMB & config.vpxd.vdb.space.alertMB I would imagine are used to override the default % values
I remember in 5.5 there was an issue with an update where those values were populated, looks like its now % based by default
Below two parameters are what manually added as config is prefixed before any parameter that is manually added to vCenter advance settings.
config.vpxd.vdb.space.warningMB value
config.vpxd.vdb.space.alertMB value
Could you please make it more clear that which parameter is forcing the alarm to trigger.
Much appreciated
Jasmeet
Can anyone help?
