Windows 10 guest is periodically freezing for 5-20 seconds

Hi, I am using Windows 10 as guest on host of debian based linux distro. I know this question has been asked many times but none of the solutions actually helped me and I am still struggling to understand why my guest is freezing up.

I tried to notice in task manager why the guest freezes up, perhaps it runs out of RAM or high CPU usage ? But I don't see any high spikes. I am not sure what else to do, its becoming very annoying to use it like this.

Thanks

EDIT: I forgot to add info about versions, I am using workstation player version 15.1.0 build-13591040 and guest Windows 10 1803 (OS Build 17134.950)

Does your guest really need 16 cores??  Try lowering it to 2 or 4 at most.  Probably don't need 20 GB of RAM either... try 8 or 16.

Hi

Yes I need those resources for development purposes, most of them are used by Vistual studio, vs-code, chrome debugging tools etc. But still despite providing these resources I have enough remaining for my host and host never freezes or gets disturbed due to the guest.
