3. Re: After reboot a host is not responsive for 20 minutes in vCenter
a.p. Aug 23, 2019 3:18 AM (in response to SanderHogewerf)Is this about a particular host, or does it affect all hosts?
In case of a single host, it may be worth disconnecting, and then re-connecting it from/to vCenter to see whether this helps.
If all hosts are affected, then you should search the log files for reasons, or open a support case with VMware for this, because there can be many reasons for this (e.g. networking issues, ...)

mmul Aug 27, 2019 9:29 AM (in response to SanderHogewerf)Have you gotten anywhere with support on this? I am running the same ESXi build on one of my hosts, and this started happening on this host right after upgrading to 13932383.

6. Re: After reboot a host is not responsive for 20 minutes in vCenter
ChrisFD2 Aug 27, 2019 10:17 AM (in response to SanderHogewerf)Your vCenter server is version Server 6.5 U2e.
Your ESXi version is ESXi 6.5 Update 3.
It is not supported to have the ESXi servers on a newer version than the vCenter Server, the behaviour that you are seeing is typical of such an unsupported configuration. Please upgrade your vCenter server to update 3.

7. Re: After reboot a host is not responsive for 20 minutes in vCenter
mmul Aug 27, 2019 1:08 PM (in response to mmul)The issue for me appears to be that I used VMware's 6.5 U3 image instead of HPE's. I rolled ESXi back to the previous build and will try it again with the HPE image, which has the correct drivers bundled.

8. Re: After reboot a host is not responsive for 20 minutes in vCenter
ChrisFD2 Aug 27, 2019 11:39 PM (in response to mmul)In which case it is still unsupported as per my previous reply. You must upgrade vCenter before the hosts if moving to U3, regardless of whether you use the HPe or the VMware image.

SanderHogewerf Oct 15, 2019 1:24 AM (in response to ChrisFD2)Hi Cris,
We just updated our vCenter server and still have the problem.
We also updated a host to version 14320405. Which did not do anything, still the problem occurs.
You got any things we could look for?
