Fusion 10.1.6 on Mac OS X Mojave 10.14.6 - Windows guest unusable

The thread (VM became extremely slow after upgraded to macOS 10.14.6 [Workaround Released] ) mentions some fixes for Fusion 11.1.1, but they don't work for  Fusion professional 10.1.6. I can not even download Fusion 11.1.1 (I get the "Dear user, the web content you have requested is not available." message).

Is there something that I can do or will this issue be addressed by vmware?

The vmware.log file contains entries like this:

2019-08-21T23:29:25.346+01:00| vmx| I125: scsi0:0: Command READ(10) took 2.815 seconds (ok)

2019-08-21T23:29:25.730+01:00| vcpu-1| I125: SCSI DEVICE (scsi0:0): MODE SENSE(6) for unsupported page 0x8

2019-08-21T23:29:25.868+01:00| vcpu-1| I125: SCSI DEVICE (scsi0:0): MODE SENSE(6) for unsupported page 0x8

2019-08-21T23:29:25.868+01:00| vmx| I125: scsi0:0: Command READ(10) took 3.337 seconds (ok)

The guest files are on a SSD drive, no FileVault, on an iMac.

Thanks!

PS: reducing the available memory to guest helps (at least it is still usable after boot), but that's only a partial workaround, since I need more memory in VM than 2GB.

First, Fusion 10 isn't supported on Mojave, so you will need to upgrade at some point.

Second, unfortunately, even on Fusion 11, the 2GB drop is the only real workaround until Apple fixes their bug.
