Hi,
A member on our team recently lost some of his work and was not able to log into his VM. When we checked the recent events on the ESXi web application, it showed there was a crash on 8/14/19.
We have not been able to determine what caused the crash. I've attached what we see on the VM log for that day.
We appreciate any support we can get on this.
Best,
Jose
Welcome to the Community,
I can't see anything really helpful in the screenshots. Is it possible for you to attach the full log file to a reply post?
André
Hi Andre,
I have not been able to export the log because I do not have vcenter set up.
Is there any other way I can get you the information you need?
Thanks
No need for vCenter. Login to the ESXi host's web GUI, and download all the vmware*.log files that are present in the VM's folder on the datastore. Then compress/zip them and attach the .zip archive to a reply post.

I don't see a crash on Aug, 14th, but what I see is that the VM has been suspended on Aug.16th, and may have had issues with resuming.
Can you please explain what exactly the user (or you) saw, i.e. what happened with the VM at that time when the issue occurred.
André
User claims that on Wednesday 8/14, the Remote desktop stopped working and was not able to reconnect to the VM.
They were able to get in on Friday after I went to the web application and paused and restarted their VM. But they claim their file was corrupted.
What is OS type, did you check with OS team
Windows 10
