Does anyone know if VMware Fusion 11.1 works with MacOS Catalina?

Anyone?

Hi,

Not working for VMware, but that answer is: Not yet.

There's a number of problems right now.

For example trying to install it as a guest (see also: https://planetvm.net/blog/?p=64552 ) as well as trying to have Fusion running on a host running Catalina.

I'm pretty confident that support will come to Fusion 11.x though, but you have to be a tad more patient as apple has changed too much for it to "just work".

Does VMware already have a release date for Fusion.

Release of MacOS Catalina is approaching fast.....

Thanks for your quick response Mark

VMWare, as a public company, doesn't publish release dates.

I'm sure we'll see a release as GA approaches, but with the new bug Apple introduced, they are likely holding off until that's either fixed, or they have a real workaround.

For critical workloads, holding off on a upgrade is always a good idea.
