UEM and USB Personal Printers .

Just curious what everyone thinks is the best approach for USB personal printers .

I am capturing the following (below) under Window Settings - network printers :

We are using instant clones . We have users that have USB connected non networked printers .

Any idea if there is anything in UEM i need to set to capture those ?

( we are using Zero Clients - Windows desktops running the client appear ok )

they work on the 1st reboot.. but successive reboots ( i.e. the instant Clone refreshed ) - the printers stop working .

Unplugging the printer and plugging it back in seems to work . ( thus it sounds like UEM ) .

Am i capturing pretty much all i need below ?.. think this is more of an instant clone / horizon question ( wasnt 100% sure ).

Are most people putting all the personal printers on the gold image ?

thanks much .

Wish I could help but we have similar problems.   We see that when the USB printer is set to default, It is not remembered at the next logon.

Based on the circled text below, I don't think the network printers config persists anything regarding personal/local printers.

Hopefully there is another way?

I have a similar issue. I'm using HP Thin Clients and routing the printer via ThinPrint, not opposed to USB Redirection, not sure what method you use.

Printer connects just fine the first time, but randomly fails to connect. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but tpautoconnect commands show error messages, which I can provide if you all are using thinprint. I had not looked at this as a UEM issue though, and I've opened a ticket with support, who have told me "Talk to the thin client vendor", which is frustrating in itself.
