Dual Monitors with VMware fusion not working in guest OS (Ubuntu)

I am attempting to use dual monitors (not mirrored) with a guest Ubuntu vm.  Ubuntu will only mirror the displays, and Ubuntu appears to only recognize one monitor.

Thanks,

Could you give more information about Fusion version and your guest VM?

I have followed the instructions you mention, but Ubuntu (guest operation system) will only allow for mirrored displays.  I have attached the Displays settings menu from Ubuntu.

Have you enabled the "Use full resolution for Retina display" in the VM settings -> Display? If so, you can try to disable it.

Without your displays info, just guess based on your screenshot.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it did not change anything.
