Maximum Size for D: drive with GPT

I have 14TB (RAID 5) datastore on vmware 6.7 running Windows 2012 R2.

C: Drive is 200G.

Currently my Drive D size is 10.6TB

I read somewhere that 10.6T is maximum you can go on single logical D drive GPT format.

Is this correct or can I extend this drive by another 1TB to 11.6T?

Thanks in advance.

There is no such limitation - GPT partitions can be way larger than that.

So you should be able to expand your vmdk.

Could there be any hardware limitation like RAID 5 or the fact that I am running HP G8 which doesn't have UFI boot?

Thanks in advance.
