I noticed that there are 2 different settings which, in my understanding, do the same.
In the documentation only the second one is described.
Does anybody know the difference? Should I configure both to the same time?
Changes do not reflect from one to the other.

Hi mkfm,
Please find the Install and Config guide for 2.1.
Collector config was designed for Auto-Upgrade of Skyline Collector at the specific time of the day however on the VAMI, it will download the patch and store it in the repository and it will ask you to install it manually. Last option of VAMI and Auto-Upgrade almost does the same thing.

Hi mkfm,
Welcome to communities!
It is better to select the second option as the last option will automatically Install the updates once its been downloaded.
Hi
yeah that's clear. But regardless which option we want to enable, where should we configure it? In the appliance management (VAMI) or in the application config?
Hi mkfm,
Yes, you are correct you need to configure that on VAMI page.
And what does the setting in the collector config do?
And why does the install&configure guide (Auto-Upgrade) mention only the second one? Where is the documentation for the VAMI setting?
And why don't the settings reflect each other?

That's what I wanted to know. Thank you.
Would be interesting which intention led to the duplication of this setting.
I already followed the install&configure guide, I already posted the link in my last answer. That's where i stumbled over the settings that raised my question.
Hi mkfm,
I agree with you but most of the customers do not login to VAMI page so we added the option to config page itself.
