ESXI 6.7 VM Tools not managed by vSphere

Hello,

I am running kali in ESXI 6.7 and I need the copy/paste functionality but I have this error after installing the vm tools and the opn-vm-tools. The options I have set are listed below, and I also set the following:

isolation.tools.copy.disable	FALSE
isolation.tools.paste.disable	FALSE

Guest OS

Debian GNU/Linux 4 (32-bit)

Compatibility

ESXi 5.0 virtual machine

VMware Tools

Yes

VMware Tools: VMware Tools is not managed by vSphere

Are there any solutions or recommendations to get the copy/paste functionality to work?

Hi,

This is caused by using open-vm-tools as it's not managed by vSphere. Install VMware Tools for Linux.
