vROPS - ISO Compliance report

Hi,

I installed the ISO Compliance Pack on my vROPs Version 7.5, so far so good. The report is “reporting” as far as the compliance view is concerned. But, once I genereate a report the report is empty even though the compliance view shows a couple of Propblems. The vSphere hardening report shows data, so there is data and the reports themself work.

May be someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Harro

P.S. none of the other compliance paks (PCI, HIPAA, etc.) work as well

Yes , Maximum parameters are same. only difference will be in the symptoms of risk profile for both the compliance parameters.

Use the default view : ISO Hardening Guide for vSphere.  This is the default view to use.  If you are using default report then it will be added. Run it in vsphere world. It should take some time since it generated symptoms triggered for compliance on all VMs

On which object did you generate the report? Did you do it on vSphere World?

Was I helpful? Give a kudo for appreciation!

Request to share the objects on which you are running the ISO compliance for.  Two things we need to check here:

1. How is the view of the report configured

2. On which object the report template is run

We are running the same compliance standard and are able to fetch daily reports with detailed conditions as : why the object is non compliant .

Hi,

I tried different objects, vSphere World, vCenters, etc.

Hi,

I compared the reports for ISO Compliance and the internal report for vSphere Hardening (?) and they are configured more or less the same. And the respective dashboard for the ISO compliance works. It shows the points that are not compliant.

Hi,

sorry to come back again.

I ran the ISO report on the default vSphere World but it is empty except for the contents list at the beginning.

When I run the vSphere hardening report it shows all the missing settings for my environment.

It is not that I desperately need it but I want to understand.

Greetings

Harro
