Customes Skyline admin replacement. Deregistering/Registering Skyline appliance?

Hello team,

At a customer DC, the person who deployed Skyline left the company and a new admin took his place. However, when the new admin logs into Skyline Advisor through his My VMware account, he sees nothing. Seems the former admin created an organization in which the new admin is not a member of.

Is there some way to include him into the organization where Skyline was registered without having access to the My VMware account of the former admin?

Just making sure there is not an easier option. The alternative I have thought of is to deregister the appliance and to start the config process all over.

The new admin has access the the Skyline collector appliance.

Rgds,

Adolfo

Hi AdolfoGonzalez

Welcome to Skyline Communities!

The best option would be to deregister the collector appliance and register with a new organization.

Steps:-

•             Open the console of the collector.

•             Delete the configuration files “rm /usr/local/skyline/ccf/config/generated/*.json”.

•             Reboot the appliance.

•             Go to getting started link https://skyline.vmware.com/get-started/

•             Create a new organization with the correct name.

•             Create a registration token.

•             Register the collector with the token.

To remove the old organization please fill the below form.

In case you require to recover collector password, please follow the below article.
