UEM Cannot apply Registry Settings within the lower levels registry hive that is already Personalized

OK here are the details.

Part 1

The registry key I wish to set:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Excel\Options]

"AutoRecoverPath"=hex(2):25,00,48,00,4f,00,4d,00,45,00,53,00,48,00,41,00,52,00,\

  45,00,25,00,5c,00,4f,00,66,00,66,00,69,00,63,00,65,00,52,00,65,00,63,00,6f,\

  00,76,00,65,00,72,00,5c,00,45,00,78,00,63,00,65,00,6c,00,00,00

Settings in the console are at UE > Registry Settings > ExcelAutoRecoveryLocation

I have a single Application Group for Personalization includes Excel + Word + PPT + Outlook

Import/Export looks like this with DirectFlex Enabled with triggers for all the 4 applications:

[IncludeRegistryTrees]

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Access

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Excel

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\FirstRun

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\VBA

Log says successfully imported Registry settings. However, don't see the registry after logon.

FAILED : Registry Methods

SUCCESS : I do see the Registry Value appear when I run C:\Program Files\Immidio\Flex Profiles\FlexEngine.exe -r

SUCCESS : It also works as Predefined Settings for Excel application.

Why does it not work as Native Registry Settings import?

Are you using a mandatory profile at all?  You wouldn't happen to have an antivirus running on your machine?  I ask about the antivirus because I once saw McAfee block all HKCU registry changes.

I am using McAfee, but that has nothing to do with these registry settings not being applied. The other HKCU registry keys are being applied just fine.

For instance, UEM is able to set the following Keys also for the sake of my testing:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\UEMTest\Test\16.0\Excel\Options]

"AutoRecoverPath"=hex(2):25,00,48,00,4f,00,4d,00,45,00,53,00,48,00,41,00,52,00,\

  45,00,25,00,5c,00,4f,00,66,00,66,00,69,00,63,00,65,00,52,00,65,00,63,00,6f,\

  00,76,00,65,00,72,00,5c,00,45,00,78,00,63,00,65,00,6c,00,00,00
