Dear all
Hi
i want to run proactive HA
my server is DL580 G10
i have download and deploy HPE_OneView_for_VMware_vCenter OVA file and add vcenter to that.
also i have installed HPE_OneView_4.20.01.01_ESXi_Z7550-96659.ova
my vcenter ip = 10.10.50.60
my one view ip = 10.10.50.77
my HPE_OneView_for_VMware_vCenter = 10.10.50.78
now from Menu- Administrator - HPE one view for vmware vcenter - server integrations:
in this part we can see to tabs : Oneview - servers
in the server tab i added my esxi host (this is lab and i have just one esxi host )
in the one view tab i insert hpe one view ip and creditional (10.10.50.77)
but during registering show : Error while registering Hypervisor Manager or Oneview
how can solve the problem ?
BR
This is a problem with OneView and not vCenter or ESXi, so I'd recommend you either post on an HPE-focused message board or open a case with them.
So thanks
But i want to know all of steps for run proactive HA were correct ?

As i could not find a straightforward document Can anyone help me about running proactiveHA and config oneview because now i am confused i am not sure do we nee both oneview for vcenter and oneview product ? do i had to install both of them ?

The ProActive HA provider comes with HPE OneView. How to install OneView and configure it is something you would need to look on the HPE website for as already mentioned above.
but if this is a lab with a single server, what is the point of installing proactive HA? HA always requires 2 hosts at minimum?
So thanks
but in the first step i just want config this feature after that will be add second host
but now i really confused do i had to install two of HP's product one view for vCenter and oneview ?
Actually i am sue had to install one view for vCenter but don't know is that manadtory install hpe one view product and then join oneview for vcenter to hpe oneview ?
also I read hp documents but it did not clearly explained about that i need the experience of someone that implement that

As far as I can tell you do not need HPE One View, you only need HPE OneView for vCenter:
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=a00037524en_us
thanks
i was read that doc completely but it did not explain about most of parts for example according attached pics in server integrations part we have two tabs Oneview and servers :
in servers tab we had to insert esxi host info and inserted with succeed
but what is oneview tab ? Do i had to insert oneview info ( ip, user , pass) in that ?
Actually i inssert that info in this tab but according the pic could not register
and according to this i think had to install both products hpe one view and oneview for vcenter
is that correct ?

As stated above, your questions are HPE OneView questions. you may want to try their forums, better chance of finding an expert. I can only provide you the info that is in the documentation.
That's so strange for me no one don't have experience about running and config proactiveHA via oneview.
I'm sure they do...over on HPE's forums.
Actually i have created a new topic in hpe oneview form yesterday buti till now no one did not answer .
So be patient and wait.
Now one of my problem solved
i understand had to install both of hp's products hpe oneview and oneview for vcenter
then add vcenter to oneview for vcenter
in the next step a new part will be add to administrator menu in vcenter here also register oneview with vcenter and also added ILO credential of server that previously added to hpe oneview
according attach pic but also accordig attached pic still not show any proactiveHA provider in the proactiveHA menu in vcenter
can anyone help me ?
Hi Baber
you can try to create a new cluster and enable the HA DRS and proavtive HA without hosts to check if the provider is listed in the list .
Hi Baber ,
Have you tried to edited proactive HA in html vsphere client ?
cause I established an environment and installed the same version ov4vc and oneview as yours ,
I have the same issue ,
but once I open vc vsphere client in HTML
I found the oneview is in the list.
before that ,I have restart oneview vm and ov4vc.
i reinstall my vcsa :
first install vcsa then install oneview and finally install ov4vc and create cluster add hosts and enable HA and DRS and finally enable proactive HA . all of problem solved and alarms disappear but
while restart vcsa manually all of alarms return another
Does anyone meet this problem ?
