Hi,
I have Workstation 15 installed. The vms themselves are 14. VM 1 is clone of VM 2. On vm #2, I can type in the win10 "type here to search" textbox in the lower left of the screen. On vm #1, I can click in there, but it does not respond/accept any typing. I have re-started VM, re-installed vmware tools.
Why is this happening and how do I solve?

That's because it isn't likely to be a VMware problem, but a Microsoft one.
Something got corrupt on that VM and now that part does not work well. I know it is strange for it to work well on one VM, but not on another.
It happens, might be a bodged update or something like that.
