Sharing Copy of VM on External Drive

I'm currently running a Windows VM on my Mac via Fusion.   The VM resides on an external hard drive.  I want to be able to share the VM with a colleague who works on a PC.  Is it possible for me to copy the VM to another hard drive that will allow her to access my windows environment on her PC?  If so what VMWare product would she need to run?

Hi,

Your colleague can install either VMware Workstation Professional or VMware Workstation Player to run the VM on her PC.

In order to share the VM the disk should be formatted with either FAT32 or NTFS so that the PC can read the disk.

This by itself is one of the problems with sharing as your disk might be too big to write to FAT32.

By default a mac only has read access to NTFS..

Sharing a VM via a network tends to be the easier.
