Hello,

I have a Huawei server with a fail in the Raid Controller.

How can I know the Raid Controller Serial number?

Not sure if that is visible in ESXi.
Don't you have to do this via the iBMC?

I cannot see that info, neither from the BMC nor from the Smarkit.

I attached the information from the BMC, but no serial number

Any command? I´m not sure this can be helpful:

esxcfg-info | grep "Serial N"

Hi,

is this an onboard Raid Controller or a separate controller? If it's an onboard controller there is no serial number for the card alone because it's part of the mainboard. This should be covered by the mainboard serial number.

If it's a separate card, there could be a chance that there are LSI tools which you can run on ESXi but not sure about need. Just check out the Broadcom homepage.

Cheers,

Fred
