Guest OS Windows10 "Display driver failed to start. Display driver failed to start; using Microsoft Basic Display Driver instead" error"

Please allow me to write sentences using a translation.

I have been in trouble for a very long time with this problem.

I run 26 virtual machines for 24 hours, but the main contents are games.

However, the bug that is happening now is that the screen is dimmed for a moment or two after 2 hours, and an error like title is displayed in the event viewer.

I know that this is the result of VMware Tools. I tried most versions of VMware player, Workstation, Windows 10, but they all gave the same result.

Turning off 3D acceleration resolves the cause, but you should not turn off 3D acceleration as you will run so many virtual machines on a single PC.

Such errors do not exist in other virtual machines such as Virtual Box.I am troubled with this problem for about a month.

Still, I would like to use VMware because the speed of the machine itself is completely different.

I was really tired.Could you lend me your strength? If you do not have enough information, please feel free to say.

Thank you very much.

Could you help to upload the VMware logs following the link below? Without logs, we can't tell what's going on there. Thanks

I just uploaded it earlier, but I've uploaded it successfully, but I'm not sure.

So I will attach it to this reply. Thank you.

I can download the logs. Thank you for reporting this bug.

BTW, I noticed that you were still using WS 14.1.7 from the VMware.log. If you can, could u upgrade to the latest WS version and vmtools and see if this issue can be resolved ?

Thank you for confirmation.

I tried the latest version in the past, but the results were the same.

Have you installed the latest tools? From the previous log, you seemed on WS 10.2.5 (build 7718389) and it's not even the 10.2.5 tools GA build of 8068406.

The log may be an older version, but the same was true with the latest version of WS VMware Tools.
