Visio 2016 Hangs when using App Volumes 2.16 Agent on VDI desktop

We are using Visio 2016 Click-to-Run package with the Volume license install that uses a KMS server to license.  When we use app volumes to deploy this to a VDI desktop that has the agent 2.15 installed it works fine, but if we install the 2.16 agent on the VDI desktop the program just hangs whenever you try to do anything.  Has anyone else seen issues with Visio 2016 with the newish version of the app volumes agent?

We've run into this issue as well.  It seems to be specifically associated with the 2.16 agent.  We've received assistance from VMWare about it and they provided us with the 2.17 agent before release and that was resolving our problems. It is officially out now, so probably your best bet is to try it out and see if it takes care of things for you as well

Yeah, the 2.17 agent seems to fix the Visio issue.  Of course now we are seeing an issue occasionally where the applications in some of the appstacks have the folder in program files aren't actually folders but rather files with no extension.  This of course doesn't actually work.  I love app volumes.

I would be wary of upgrading to App Volumes Agent 2.17.  On any machine that we put this agent on after a period of using it the file system ends up looking like this:

Those Files with no extension are supposed to be program directories and clearly the applications no longer work.  Odd thing is that those aren't all applications within appstacks, some of those are actually apps on the base image.
