I run esxi inside wrkstation 15 pro and get this error.

I honestly have never seen this error. This is from workstation?

No, this error is from esxi when importing ovf. I have had it once before. But I do not remember what I did to solve it.
If I remember correct this is because of a corrupt vmdk file, but I am not sure about it.
Testing this soon...
