Mandatory to take official training for VCP-DCV?

Greetings,

   I have recently passed my VCIX-NV couple of months ago. I was aiming for DCV track. I can not go straightly and give exam of VCAP as a result I have to give an exam of VCP-DCV. I have read through the Certification requirement for VCP-DCV. Is it necessary to attend a training from official VMware supported trainers? Or I can just give exam of Foundations and VCP?

You will need to meet the training requirement - confirmed here: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2019 (VCP-DCV 2019)
