Recently I upgraded test lab to VMware Horizon 7.7 (Instant Clones Windows 10 LTSB, App Volumes 2.15) and created fresh Gold Image. All works just fine except ReportSystemFreeSpace - it doesn't work and I see VM C:\ free space but not the writable volume free space (profile only template). Tried to google the problem - there are no any information. Any ideas?
How large is the writable you are using? And how large is the space left on the Golden image itself?
It only shows the value when the size of the writable (or the free space off course) is less that the size left on the virtual disk itself. So let's say your golden image has 25GB of free space and your writable is 50GB large it will show the C drive with just 25GB of free space. Could this be the problem?
Before Golden image update
Writable free space: 9Gb/10Gb
Golden Image Free Space: 6Gb/32Gb
After Golden image update
Writable free space: 9Gb/10Gb
Golden Image Free Space: 14Gb/40Gb
Result: Disk C: shows 14GB free space. So nothing changed.
Well, sounds about right. This should work to be honest. Have you tried raising an SR with VMWare? Could be a bug in the 2.15 version??
Looks like it happens only with "Profile Only" writable template.
Hi hunterok
Did you get solution for this issue ?
Thank you.
Nope. I just use a tool which shows all disks free space - Disk Space Monitor.
