Upgrading Directly from 6.5 Update 1 to 6.7 Update 2

HI All,

Is there any issue going directly from  6.5 Update 1 to 6.7 Update 2? I am using a Dell custom image.

I appears to be a supported path according to the documentation, but wondering what the experience of others has been.

I did just such an upgrade a few days ago without issues.

Remember to upgrade vCenter first (in case it's in use), and consider to upgrade the host's (which I assume is supported by v6.7U2) firmware too.

Thanks Andre. Ok, good. I am using a Dell custom image, so host should be supported? Is there anything in particular I should be concerned about? This is my first upgrade. I do not have vCenter right now.

If Dell provides the image for your hardware, then you should be fine. Other than this, you may check hardware compatibility at VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search

The upgrade is pretty straight forward if you don't use custom hardware, which requires additional drivers. Anyway, it's always a good idea to have a backup in case something unexpected happens.
