What is showing VM Socket here? Is it the same socket showing in ESXi Socket?

What’s the best practice to select Cores per socket?

What’s the performance impact if select Cores per socket: 1 or 2 or 4 or 8 and when we should consider 1 or 2 or 4 or 8?

For 32 or 64 GB RAM, what we would consider Cores per Socket to consider NUMA Boundary?

VM socket is not the same as ESXi socket. The first is a virtual construct and the second is a physical CPU socket.
