After changing my password which we do every 3 months, my account keeps getting locked out. I traced it back to vCenter. The event log indicates pre-kerberos authentication error.
I found vmware kb article to disable to the pre-kerberos authentication in AD. Tha worked and no more locking out the account. Problem is I cannot logon to vsphere web client until I enable pre-kerberos authentication than disable it right after i logon. Very frustrating.
Running vsphere 6.5. I upgraded vCenter to the latest release, still same issue. We've had this setup for several years now and I've changed my password numerous times
Any thoughts?
Do you use any powercli scripts or any applications that integrate with vcenter that you may have used your account?
We do use Verita Netbackup plugin
