Hello all i have working scripts for the vmfs datastores for this but i am having trouble finding any information for vsan on these zombie or orphaned files. Does anyone here have any insight or resources?

Hello azabielski

You are going to have to be more specific about what you are referring to - are you talking about files with open locks held by hung processes or something else?

An example of what you are referring to in VMFS and composition of the scripts use might help.

Hey Bob,

     I am referring to such scripts as How to find Orphaned VMDK files these where you see the below I am more looking for where $ds.type would be vsan. However yes i've already tried to add this in as a -or switch but when it get to SearchDataStoreSubFolders it errors out with permission denied when the user is a full admin so i'd assume its due to the different file system type of vsan vs vmfs.

if($ds.Type -eq "VMFS" -and $ds.ExtensionData.Summary.MultipleHostAccess){
