Windows NT 3.1 Problems

Hello.

I am trying to install Windows NT 3.1. The text mode setup was completed succesfully, but after restart I'm getting a BSOD: INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. And a bunch of other memory addresses because it's early NT.

Can someone help me?

Which guest OS did you select for the VM, and which virtual disk controller is used. It looks like the Windows installation image doesn't have the required drive included, and you may need to provide the driver during the installation (using the "F6" key IIRC).

Please attach the the VM's vmware.log to a reply post.

I selected Windows NT. Hard disk controller is SCSI and the CD drive is IDE. Well, I don't bother with the CD drive because I'm installing from floppies.

Update. Just booted the machine again, now it's complaining about missing NTLDR.

You can't have the virtual floppy disk connected at boot, otherwise the PC tries to boot from the A drive.  And the device driver for the virtual disk adapter floppy isn't bootable.
