vSphere Replication

Can you simultaneously configure a same vCenter and across vCenter for the same VM?

Client doesn't want an HA storage architecture but a same vCenter replication approach in case of host failure.

Other inquiry also if this configuration is the best approach. My concern with this setup is that replication can have issues like data sync and needs manual power on intervention unless SRM will be used.

Unlike in an HA configuration (shared storage), once enabled, VMs will just power on the other VM hosts as long as there is sufficient resources.

Hello,

It's depend of your Guest OS or VM number's but you can try VMware FT to have a VM Cluster similar

Or think "service" to put your services in Cluster mode between the Hosts
