Is there still a free version of ESXI that is not just a trial for 60 Days?

And what version is that?

And how do I find it?

Cheers

Hi,

there is. It's called "vSphere Hypervisor".

To get a key you need to register here: Download VMware vSphere Hypervisor for Free

The Register button hasn't worked for the last couple of days, whether in Chrome or IE. In IE I receive a basic text Access Denied message, while in Chrome I receive a fancier page that shows:

Content Not Available

Dear user, the web content you have requested is not available.

So, I'm wondering how I can download this free software. Any advice is appreciated.

VM's are running, that wasn't the hard part. Only 60 days left is bothering me.

After installing ESXi - without entering a license key - it will run for 60 days in evaluation mode, which means you will have all features available.

After (or during) that time you may enter a valid license key. The key for the free Hypervisor license shows up on the registration page, where you registered for the free Hypervisor (see the link in a previous reply).

What I think the OP is saying, is they, like myself, click on the link above and click on the blue register button, we are brought to a screen saying:

Content Not Available

Dear user, the web content you have requested is not available.

We cannot register for the product because the page is dead or something, and cannot therefore get a key.

Additionally, I have tried twice to contact sales/support via their web form, both times getting messages stating it was successfully sent, but haven't heard anything.  It doesn't even send an autoreply to your mail to indicate they received it.  Like the user above, time, as they say is ticking.  I too am a home user, dabbling in some server operating systems.  In my case (which makes me worry more) I'm running ESXi 6.0 (not 6.7) because that is what the version created for my server (Dell Poweredge R710) needed to run.  Hopefully someone will come along and fix the registration portion of the site, or be able to help us here in the forum.

***EDIT***

So one day after posting this and two or three days after first trying to register for vSphere esxi as listed in the link above, I tried it again today, AND IT WORKED.  Must have been a fluke that the site may have been down or being worked on.  If you've tried the link above and it didn't work when you go to the register button, try now.

Yes there is.... its called vSphere Hypervisor and its technicly the same software and installation but you get a license key with your download from vmware.com when disables all the features and APIs and convert the Trial (Enterprise Plus) into the vSphere Hypervisor one.

I had this problem several times and in the end it worked with a different browser on a different device. I'm wondering if the problem might have been due to a browser plugin, but in any case the registration worked with Firefox on Android.

I had the same issue every time I clicked on the register button, so I used a different browser - in my case edge - and it worked. For some reason the website is not working well with Chrome.

Use a different browser and you should be fine.

Hope this helps!

I'm trying to get the same files as you with Firefox. I'm not able to do that.

Same issue here in Chrome and Firefox, however it seems to work fine in Edge.
