Hi Experts,
I have a vcenter server 6.5 which hosted on windows platform and there is no update manager on it.
Am planning to install update manager on the same, but i read that update manager is in built in vcsa 6.5 appliance. If am migrate vcenter 6.5 to vcsa 6.5 appliance, update manager will automatically configured on vcsa appliance? please advice.

Here are your options:
1.) Deploy a new vCSA 6.5 and manually move hosts to it. This is not considered a migration.
2.) Upgrade from Windows 6.5 to vCSA 6.7. This is considered a migration.
Both options give you VUM on the appliance at the end of the day. Pick one.
It's not possible to migrate vCenter 6.5 to vCSA 6.5
vCenter 6.5 installed in windows not possible to migrate VCSA 6.5 appliance?
As you can see in the screen shot from that post: Deployment Type PSC 6.0 > Destination PSC 6.5

Hi,
This is the customer requirement, Migrate windows vcenter to appliance and configure update manager.
Currently they don't have any update manager and i read that 6.7 update manager is inbuilt. So windows to VCSA migration will help to solve this update manager configuration?

What exactly you want to achieve?
Here are your options:
1.) Deploy a new vCSA 6.5 and manually move hosts to it. This is not considered a migration.
2.) Upgrade from Windows 6.5 to vCSA 6.7. This is considered a migration.
Both options give you VUM on the appliance at the end of the day. Pick one.
Thank you,
I will go with Windows vcenter 6.5 to VCSA 6.7 migration.
