I have a workstation 14 player license (not pro) that I need to transfer to a new PC, is this possible or do I need to purchase a new license?
Ahh, so you're using the free VMware Player UI interface included with the Workstation installation. Try downloading the standalone Player installer. https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_workstation_player/14_0|PL...
Unless something changed, you can use the same license key on another system, as long as you don't use it anymore on the old one.

I haven't been able to get it to activate. I'm not sure where to go to even try to enter the key.
Please see whether https://kb.vmware.com/kb/2081997 will help.

Unfortunately this menu: Player > Help > Enter License Key. Doesn't exist for me.
Maybe a screenshot of how your Player GUI looks like might help.

I have to admit that I've never installed Workstation Player myself.
Has this instance been installed using the Player installation package, or in conjunction with Workstation Pro?
André
The installation includes workstation pro as well, though I don't use that product.

We had a pre-packaged "full" version that I was using. Uninstalled that and installed the "Player" version and it works. Thanks for the help everyone!
