vRealize Automation 7.5 - Custom Forms - "Disk data grid"

I am fighting with the Custom Forms. I cannot achieve the removal of the different columns that does not matter to the user.

I want to create an out-of-the box Data Grid for the user to create disks with just these columns:

  • Capacity
  • Drive Letter / Mount Path
  • Label

I don't want them to complete the ID of the disk neither if it "Is Cloned" or "User Created"

Is this possible to do this without the use of vRealize Orchestrator?

Probably using some scripts it can be done. lets see if some scripts expert can educate us.

Please mark this answer as correct and helpfull if this helps you.

There is already a fairly extensive thread on this subject here.

Yeah but we could have hoped the possibility to have a user friendly disk list without using vRO was added in 7.5 (it seems it hasn't).

It should be pretty simple and I can't understand how they gave the requester the possibility to hide columns but you can't do it while designing the custom form...

I will introduce a feature request although I hope it's already in the works.

If you haven't already noticed, data grid is and has been a pretty big mess since it was first introduced.
