Unable to Use Microsoft Remote Assistance when using Mandatory Profiles - Windows 10 1803

Has anyone experienced the following error when using Mandatory Profiles alongside UEM and AppVolumes?  Ever since we starting using mandatory profiles to speed up login times, anyone our anyone tries to use Remote Assistance, regardless of user permissions, they get the error below.  On the base image, Remote Assistance works fine for all users, admin and standard.  As soon as the pool gets recomposed with the image and the GPO applies the mandatory profile we get this error.

Hi glowery,

Googling a bit seems to indicate that Remote Assistance does not like mandatory profiles, so could you try configuring the Certificate Support for Mandatory Profiles UEM policy setting?

Hi UEMdev ,

This worked great.  I knew there were issues with how the cryptography was handled when using a mandatory profile, but the only word and/or solution from Microsoft related to a hotfix available for Win7 SP1 and Server 2008.  Adding the GPO setting for this and enabling the Windows Common Setting in the UEM Management Console for Personal certificates solved the problem right away.

Thank you again!

Hi glowery,

Happy to hear that worked, and thank you for adding the note about needing to capture the personal certificates – good to know!
